It's a bit hard to tell, but I think path_type = 1 is supposed to make the missile fly in a parabolic arc rather than a straight line. It doesn't seem to do anything in practice, though.

I made a video of what I mean. The first missile has path_type = 0 and the second has path_type = 1. Is there any difference?

I saw really noticeable parabolic arcs at slow speed with short-range spell missiles. Like if you fire 1 tile away, I think the fake Z effect is really noticeable.

Hmm, it seems it's especially bad on diagonals, but looks quite good along horizontal lines. I didn't check vertical lines.
