If you open the minimap just after leaving a town, or load a saved game that was created just after leaving a town, then the minimap is sometimes blank, either pure black or pure white with a red dot indicating your party.

If you take even a single step after leaving the town, or wait with the 5 key, it does not happen.

Might be two separate issues.

Marking as OSX-specific for now. I'll remove that tag if someone on a different OS confirms it.

I've seen it happen in town too, immediately after loading a saved game. The saved game was created immediately after starting a scenario, but I'm not sure if that's significant.
